The pit wall for console endurance racing

PitOwl reads every PS5 in the room, re-plans the race from the fuel and tyres it measures, and tells your strategist when to box, how much fuel, which tyre and who drives next.

PitOwl's race screen: twelve cars on a leaderboard and track map, with the next call for the starred car.

Eight hours, as the strategist hears them

  1. 00:00 · green flag

    Twelve cars live.

One laptop takes the telemetry of every console in the room, and every team can follow it from its own laptop. Positions, gaps, stops, tyre age and fuel for the whole field, on one screen.

The leaderboard and track map: twelve cars with gaps, tyres and fuel.
  2. 00:42 · lap 37

Box in three. 62 litres, mediums. M

Every tyre and stop combination is simulated lap by lap, with fuel weight, tyre wear, stop times and each driver's limits. Then the plan follows what your car really burns and wears.

The strategy tab: the best plan and five alternatives, with stops, time lost in the pits and a stint timeline.
  3. 03:10 · rain

Rain. Wets at this stop. W

One switch puts the race in the wet. The plan, the fuel and the next call follow straight away.

  4. 05:26 · driver change

    Yanis needs 38 more minutes.

Every stint is logged with its driver and tyre, and drive times are counted live against the rules. At each stop, PitOwl asks who goes in and on what.

  5. 08:00 · chequered flag

    Flag. Debrief is ready.

Every lap and stop of every car is in the race journal, with a debrief of your stints and the championship updated.

What else is on the screen

Live leaderboard and track map

Every car in the room with position, gap, tyre, fuel and stops. Follow the rivals that matter and get told when they pit.

Fuel to the litre

Burn is measured lap by lap, so each stop takes exactly what the next stint needs, and not a litre of extra weight.

Tyre plan per compound

Wear curves for every compound, and the plan to the flag that loses the least time.

Drivers and drive times

Who drove what, for how long, against the event's minimum and maximum times.

Calls out loud

Box, fuel and tyre calls are spoken in English or French, so eyes can stay on the race.

Second screen

Open a second window for the driver or a teammate. Two of your teams can run from one laptop.

Race journal

Every lap, stop, position change and incident, kept and readable after the race.

Driver coach

Each lap compared corner by corner with your best, and where the time went.

Ready before the formation lap

  1. 01

    Install on one laptop

A Windows app. One laptop on the event's network is enough for the whole room.

  2. 02

    Find the consoles

One scan finds every PS5 on the network. Nothing to install or change on the consoles.

  3. 03

    Race

Mark your car, enter your drivers and go. The plan updates on its own from the first lap.

Raced for eight hours, for real

PitOwl ran a full LAN endurance race: 13 consoles, two teams from one laptop, a red flag and rain.

Questions teams ask

Do I need to install anything on the PS5?

No. PitOwl reads the telemetry the game already sends over the network. The consoles only need to be on the same network as the laptop.

Does every team need its own laptop running it?

No. One laptop takes every console in the room. Other teams open PitOwl on their own laptop and connect to it.

Can we race online, between homes?

Online races through a shared server are in testing. LAN races work today.

How much does it cost?

We are starting with a small group of teams and organisers. Tell us about your team or event and we will set you up.

Which languages?

The app and its spoken calls are in English and French.

Next race on the calendar?

Tell us when you race, how many cars, and whether it's LAN or online.
